Sound type
Rumble
How Soundwell synthesizes a low-frequency rumble and the controls that shape its depth and movement.
Definition#
Rumble is a continuous low-frequency noise atmosphere with broad texture and slow, irregular evolution.
How Soundwell generates it#
Soundwell combines centered deep bass with broader upper texture. Movement and Pace shape how the sound changes over time, while Width adds stereo spread above the deepest bass.
Rumble has its own enable control and volume. Opening its settings or changing a parameter does not enable it or start playback.
Output requirements#
Rumble works through headphones or speakers and does not require stereo channel separation. Soundwell synthesizes it locally without recordings.
The connected output's frequency range affects how much of its deepest bass it can reproduce.
Listening notes#
Depth changes the bass weight and Body adds broader texture. Movement controls the amount of evolution, Pace controls its time scale, and Width ranges from mono toward a wider upper texture.
Low frequencies can be difficult to hear on an iPhone speaker. Begin at a low volume and compare outputs without compensating by turning the level up quickly.
Parameters
| Parameter | Values | Default | Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| Depth | 0–100% | 55% | Sets the balance of deep bass weight. |
| Body | 0–100% | 40% | Adds broader texture above the deepest bass. |
| Movement | 0–100% | 45% | Sets how much the rumble evolves over time. |
| Pace | 0–100% | 30% | Sets the time scale of the movement. |
| Width | 0–100% | 35% | Sets the stereo width while keeping deep bass centered. |
